PIRILY does not require access to your microphone, contacts, or location for its current core functionality.
Notifications
If notifications are enabled, PIRILY may process:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push tokens

We do not currently use PIRILY for advertising.
PIRILY does not currently display third-party advertisements.
4. Partner Connection and Shared Data
PIRILY is designed around a connected two-person experience.
When you connect with another PIRILY user as your partner, certain relationship information and activity becomes part of a shared relationship space accessible through the connected accounts.
This may include Moments, challenges, achievements, goals, streaks, timeline activity, anniversary information, and other shared relationship history.
You should only connect with a person with whom you intend to share this PIRILY relationship space.
If the connection later ends or one partner deletes their account, some shared relationship history may be retained as described in the Account Deletion and Shared Relationship History sections below.
5. Photos, Camera, and Gallery Access
PIRILY may request camera access for:
- scanning a partner QR code
- taking a profile photo, where supported
PIRILY may request access to your device's photo library or gallery when you choose an existing image for your profile.
These permissions are used only when required for the relevant feature.
6. Notifications
PIRILY may use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications.
If you enable notifications, a device push token may be associated with your PIRILY account or device for notification delivery.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings and, where available, through PIRILY's notification preferences.
Some reminders may be scheduled locally on your device.
7. Service Providers
PIRILY currently uses Google Firebase services to provide core application infrastructure.
These services include, as applicable:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Firebase Storage
- Firebase Cloud Functions
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
These services may process information on PIRILY's behalf in order to provide authentication, data storage, backend functionality, file storage, and notifications.
PIRILY does not currently use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
8. Data Storage and Security
PIRILY uses Firebase infrastructure to store and process application data.
Data transmitted between the application and Firebase services is generally protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
PIRILY does not claim that the service uses end-to-end encryption unless such functionality is explicitly implemented and documented in the future.
We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service to protect account and application information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PIRILY, maintain the functionality of connected relationship spaces, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.
Shared relationship information requires special treatment because it may belong to the shared history of both partners.
See the following section for what happens when an account is deleted.
10. Account Deletion
PIRILY provides an in-app account deletion option.
A public account deletion resource is also available at /delete-account.
When you request deletion of your PIRILY account, PIRILY's deletion process is designed to remove account-specific information including, as applicable:
- your Firebase Authentication account
- your user profile document
- your profile photo
- notification settings
- associated FCM push token
- invitations associated with your deleted account
The deleted account is also detached from the previous active partner connection.
The surviving partner becomes unpaired and may later connect with another PIRILY user.
Account deletion does not necessarily delete all shared relationship history that was created as part of a relationship involving another PIRILY user.
11. Shared Relationship History After Account Deletion
Some information in PIRILY represents history shared between two partners rather than information belonging exclusively to one account.
When one partner deletes their PIRILY account, legitimate shared relationship history may remain available to the surviving former partner.
This may include, as applicable:
- shared Moments
- completed challenges
- achievements
- timeline and relationship history
- anniversary information
- XP
- levels
- streaks
- shared goals and progress
The deleted user's account identity is detached from the old relationship.
Identifying account information, such as the deleted user's UID or name attribution, is removed or anonymized where necessary as part of the deletion process.
The previous relationship is treated as archived rather than remaining an active partner connection.
A future partner connected to the surviving user must not gain access to the archived relationship history from the previous relationship.
This retention model allows the surviving former partner to keep legitimate shared relationship history while removing the deleted user's active account and identifying account information.
12. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information under applicable privacy law.
These rights may include the ability to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information.
You may also be able to object to certain processing or request information about how your information is handled.
Some rights may be subject to legal limitations, including where information forms part of legitimate shared relationship history involving another user.
To make a privacy request, contact pirily.app@gmail.com.
13. Children's Privacy
PIRILY is not intended for children.
Do not create a PIRILY account if you are below the minimum age required to consent to the processing of your personal information under the laws applicable to you.
If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental or guardian consent was legally required and was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.
14. International Data Processing
PIRILY uses third-party infrastructure providers, including Google Firebase.
As a result, information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which you live.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to PIRILY, its features, legal requirements, or how information is handled.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required.
