Terms of Use

PIRILY is a digital space designed for existing couples to connect, record meaningful moments, complete challenges, track their shared journey, and build memories together.

PIRILY is not a dating service and is not intended to help users find romantic partners.

You must be legally permitted to use PIRILY and to agree to these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

PIRILY is not intended for children.

Do not create or use a PIRILY account if you are below the minimum age required under the laws applicable to you to use the service or consent to the processing of your personal information.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of PIRILY complies with applicable law.

Certain PIRILY features require you to create an account.

When creating and using your account, you agree to:

• provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
• maintain the security of your account;
• use your own account and not impersonate another person;
• keep your authentication credentials confidential; and
• notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Authentication is currently provided using Firebase Authentication.

PIRILY is designed around a connected two-person experience.

You may connect your account with another PIRILY user through supported partner connection features, including a private invite code or QR code.

You should only connect with a person with whom you intentionally want to create a shared PIRILY relationship space.

Once connected, certain information and activity may become part of the shared relationship experience available through both connected accounts.

This may include shared Moments, challenges, achievements, goals, streaks, timeline information, anniversary information, progress, and other shared relationship activity.

You are responsible for deciding what information you choose to add to your shared PIRILY space.

PIRILY allows you to provide or create content and information through the service.

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• display and profile information;
• profile photos;
• shared Moments;
• relationship and anniversary information;
• challenge activity;
• goals and progress; and
• other information you choose to provide through PIRILY.

You retain any rights you have in content you provide.

By providing content through PIRILY, you give us the permissions reasonably necessary to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating PIRILY and making the relevant content available to you and, where applicable, your connected partner.

This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to PIRILY.

Some content and activity may form part of shared relationship history involving both connected partners.

You agree not to misuse PIRILY.

You must not use PIRILY to:

• violate applicable law;
• impersonate another person;
• access another user's account without authorization;
• interfere with or disrupt PIRILY or its infrastructure;
• attempt to bypass security or access controls;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• abuse partner invitation or pairing functionality;
• harass, threaten, exploit, or unlawfully harm another person;
• attempt to obtain unauthorized access to PIRILY systems, accounts, or data; or
• use automated methods to abuse, scrape, disrupt, or overload the service.

We may take reasonable steps to protect PIRILY, its users, and its infrastructure from misuse.

PIRILY may provide challenges, prompts, suggestions, goals, or other relationship-oriented content.

These features are intended to encourage shared activities, communication, reflection, and quality time.

PIRILY does not guarantee that any challenge, prompt, suggestion, insight, or feature will improve a relationship or produce a particular outcome.

You and your partner are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you.

Do not participate in an activity that you consider unsafe, inappropriate, or uncomfortable.

PIRILY may include virtual progress features such as achievements, XP, levels, streaks, goals, and progress indicators.

These features form part of the PIRILY experience and currently have no monetary value.

They cannot be exchanged for money.

We may adjust how these features are calculated, presented, or made available as PIRILY evolves.

If you enable notifications, PIRILY may send notifications related to reminders, challenges, partner connection, shared activity, or other PIRILY features.

You can control notification permissions through your device settings and, where available, PIRILY's notification preferences.

We cannot guarantee that every notification will be delivered.

Your use of PIRILY is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how PIRILY collects, uses, stores, processes, and retains information.

You may delete your PIRILY account using the Delete Account functionality available in the app.

Deleting an account removes account-specific information as described in our Privacy Policy and Account Deletion page.

Because PIRILY contains relationship history shared between two partners, deleting one account does not necessarily delete all shared relationship history.

Certain legitimate shared relationship history may remain available to the surviving former partner after the deleted account has been detached and identifying account information has been removed or anonymized where necessary.

The previous relationship may be archived for the surviving former partner.

The surviving former partner becomes unpaired and may later connect with another PIRILY user.

A future partner must not gain access to archived relationship history from a previous relationship.

We aim to provide a reliable PIRILY experience, but we cannot guarantee that PIRILY will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

PIRILY may change over time.

We may add, modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.

PIRILY relies on third-party technology and infrastructure to provide parts of the service.

PIRILY currently uses Google Firebase services, including, as applicable:

• Firebase Authentication;
• Cloud Firestore;
• Firebase Storage;
• Firebase Cloud Functions; and
• Firebase Cloud Messaging.

These services support functions such as authentication, data storage, file storage, backend functionality, and push notifications.

Third-party services may be subject to their own applicable terms and privacy practices.

PIRILY currently does not display third-party advertisements.

PIRILY currently does not offer paid subscriptions.

PIRILY currently does not process payments or offer in-app payment functionality.

If commercial features are introduced in the future, these Terms or additional terms may be updated as appropriate.

The PIRILY name, branding, logo, website, application design, software, and original materials provided by PIRILY are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where permitted by law or expressly authorized, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, license, or commercially exploit protected PIRILY materials.

Nothing in this section transfers to PIRILY ownership of content that you personally provide through the service.

If you voluntarily send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about PIRILY, we may use that feedback to develop or improve the service without an obligation to compensate you.

This does not give us ownership of your unrelated personal content.

We may restrict or suspend access to PIRILY where reasonably necessary to:

• protect users or the service;
• investigate suspected misuse;
• address security issues;
• comply with applicable law; or
• enforce these Terms.

Where appropriate or legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue.

You may stop using PIRILY at any time and may delete your account using the available account deletion functionality.

PIRILY is a relationship and shared-experience application.

PIRILY is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Challenges, prompts, insights, progress indicators, and other PIRILY features are provided for general relationship-oriented and informational or entertainment purposes.

PIRILY does not guarantee any particular relationship outcome.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PIRILY is provided without guarantees that the service will always meet every user's individual expectations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PIRILY and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from the use of or inability to use PIRILY where such liability may lawfully be limited.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to PIRILY, its features, legal requirements, or our practices.

When we update these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.

Where appropriate or required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice of material changes.

Your continued use of PIRILY after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your use of PIRILY and these Terms are subject to applicable laws and mandatory consumer protections.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.
